NCIS Special Agent Adrian Lane has been dealing with his own demons, and surviving, the agency giving him a new lease on life. When he is assigned to go to Perth to investigate the disappearance of Petty Officer Eva King, a sailor who was attached to the US Consulate, he discovers Cora King, her park ranger sister who is on a Rangers Without Borders grant. It seems that Cora’s sister disappeared while on a bird watching vacation in the Great Woodland, a vast area as large as England. This could be a simple matter of a woman lost in the wilderness or something more sinister and terrifying.
